"Craig C. Hummel, Grand Master 2009-2010"

Craig C. Hummel was born on January 21, 1963, at Oakland, where he graduated from high school in 1981. He continued his education at Drake University earning his BS in Business Administration in 1985. He married Lisa Killion of Oakland on May 31, 1985, in their hometown and they have been blessed with three daughters Molly, Haley, and Hannah. He is owner of the Hummel Insurance Services in Oakland and Carson and is an insurance marketer earning the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in 1986. Brother Hummel is a member of the Oakland Industrial Foundation, a past president of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the United Methodist Church.

Masonically, Brother Hummel received his symbolic degrees of Masonry in Ark Lodge No. 335 at Oakland where he was Raised on August 20, 1982. He has served in the officer line of Ark Lodge and is currently the Worshipful Master. His service to the Grand Lodge includes serving as Grand Tyler in 1992-93 and Senior Grand Warden in 2001-02, a member of the Lodge Service Committee from 1994-2008, and is currently the Chairman of the Committee on Division and Reference. He holds District Lecturer's Certificate No. 3039.

Other Masonic affiliations of Brother Hummel include the York Rite bodies at Jefferson, the Omaha Scottish Rite; the Tangier Shrine in Omaha, Research Lodge No. 2; the Scottish Rite Research Society; and Eastern Star Chapter No. 425. He was elected K.C.C.H. in 1997 and Coroneted 33rd Degree (Honorary) in 2008 at the Scottish Rite.
